The MasterG Methodology is based on teaching skills through practical projects and student autonomy, and is based on six pillars.
MasterG Training Centers
Our centers operate in low income neighbourhoods. Our training modules are designed to help students learn the skill of creating garments, question traditional design and use design as a medium to break patterns of disparity that are holding them back. Students learn design, pattern making and sewing over a rigorous one year course. At the end of the course, they get a professional certificate in garment manufacturing. Post completion, some get selected to work at our all women factory, most get jobs with other fashion houses and others start their own small ventures.
Our centre in Tigri runs in partnership with our NGO partner Adharshila and corporate CSR partner Fena Foundation. They are our oldest partners, since 2015 when we first started to pen down the curriculum. We are so grateful for their continued support. Adharshila has been working in the community and delivering effective programs in low income neighbourhoods of Delhi – NCR for 15 years now. We have learnt a lot through our association with them.
Our centre in Gwal Pahari, Haryana runs in partnership with our corporate CSR partner ASF Insignia. (Link India CSR article here). This is our first rural centre. It started in October 2016.
Our centre in Tughlaqabad is run in partnership with Fena Foundation, our oldest partners along this journey. Typically, the students who enrol at this location come from Tughlaqabad village, Tughlaqabad, Ashram, Sangam vihar, Harkeshnagar and Govind Puri.
